Call Our Toll-free line for legal assistance in case of any Human Rights abuse. 08004332277

In a world that is increasingly gearing towards absolute disregard and contempt for human rights that it seldom leads to barbarous acts which have outraged the conscience of mankind. Human and Environmental Development Agenda (HEDA Resource Centre) a non-governmental and non-partisan human rights and development league has taken it upon herself to promote  the sanctity of the universally recognized human rights in Nigeria and Africa at large, with special interest towards the actualization of a society in which human beings shall enjoy freedom of speech and belief from fear and want which has been proclaimed as the highest aspiration of the common people as declared by the United Nations in Paris on December 10, 1948.
To this effect, HEDA Resource Centre has lined up a series of activities to address issues surrounding the abuse of rights and abuse of office/privileges which include Public Interest Litigation, Petitions and a Toll-free line for citizens’ complaints on violation of rights and related matters.
As part of HEDA Resource Centre’s legal intervention towards ensuring government transparency, accountability and the promotion of justice to every member of society, HEDA with viable support from the Mac Arthur Foundation institutes legal actions in the form of public interest litigation towards the achievement of the aforementioned objectives.
The cause of action for some of our legal interventions in some instances arise from complaints received from individuals on our toll-free lines, especially those bothering on anti-corruption, whistle blowing, human rights violations/denials, etc. Our office opens on Wednesdays (12-3pm), on a weekly basis to receive first-hand information from pre-selected toll-free line complainants, upon which actions are taken by our legal team on any complaint requiring litigation.
It is worth noting that in addition to our legal intervention through litigation services to complainants, we also offer mediatory services and make effective referrals to other relevant organizations such as the Mirabel Centre and Lagos State Office of the Public Defender.
