STAKEHOLDERS STRATEGIC SESSION ON STATE OF CORRUPTION IN NIGERIA ORGANISED BY HEDA RESOURCE CENTRE, CDHR, WARDC, PJ, CAC, SERAP 20TH JULY 2011, LAGOS, NIGERIA

At a stakeholders forum on the State of Corruption in Nigeria organized on Wednesday 20th July, 2011 at Westown Inn Hotel, in Ikeja, Lagos by; HEDA Resource Centre, Committee for the Defense of Human Rights (CDHR), Women Advocates Research and Documentation Centre (WARDC), Partnership for Justice (PJ), Citizens Assistant Centre (CAC) and Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) and had in attendance about fifty (50) participants from Civil Society Organisations, media and other stakeholders.

The forum had four sessions addressed by seasoned resource persons on the relevant topics:

  • Freedom of Information Act as an anti-corruption tool by Mr. Richard Akinola
  • Anti-corruption Institutions: Assessment of performances and Prospects by Bar. Monday Ubani
  • National Assembly and fight Against Corruption by Bar. Olasupo Ojo
  • Stakeholders strategising towards a renewed and concerted fight     against corruption in Nigeria by Bar. Femi Falana
