COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF THE POST COP 17 STAKEHOLDERS’ ROUNDTABLE ORGANISED BY THE MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT AND SANITATION OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT OF OSUN IN OSOGBO, MARCH 15, 2012.

Stakeholders drawn from various sectors and professions, including past military administrators of the state, representatives of the academia, royal fathers, public servants, civil society actors, multilateral agencies representatives, members of donor organizations, the media and the general public gathered on Thursday March 15, 2012 at the Centre for Black Arts and Culture in Osogbo to discuss issues arising from COP 17 which held in Durban last year as they affect Osun State in particular and Nigeria at large.  The theme of the Stakeholders’ Roundtable was ‘Building Sustainable Partnerships for Environmental Conservation and Low Carbon Economy in Osun State’
